Steve is a Vision Quest (Nature Quest) facilitator trained with Earth Heart Institute in New Jersey in the Stalking Wolf lineage. Stalking Wolf, a Lipan-Apache elder, passed his teachings to Tom Brown Jr., and Steve’s team of five quest protectors have all been trained in this same lineage.

The four days and nights alone in your quest circle are a powerful centre point, but your quest continues long after you leave the mountain — in the way you live, choose, and remember who you are. How this unfolds is unique for each person, so we encourage you to come without rigid expectations. The experience will meet you where you are, and what comes will be perfect for you.

What is a Nature Quest?
Traditionally called a Vision Quest, the Nature Quest is an ancient, nature-based rite of passage, practiced for thousands of years by Indigenous cultures as a way of receiving guidance, healing, and spiritual maturation.
In this Quest, you spend four days and nights alone in a small bush circle, immersed in the beauty, silence, and medicine of Mother Earth. With no distractions and no nourishment except water, you are invited into a level of stillness where the deeper voice within — the one that has been calling you toward your true path — can finally be heard.
Why solitude?
Alone in your quest circle, without technology, books, food, or familiar comforts, you meet yourself in a profoundly honest way. Many discover a clarity and inner strength they didn’t know they carried. Others experience a reconnection with Nature so intimate and alive that it reshapes how they walk in the world.
Time alone on the land awakens your awareness of the four elements, the wider field of Spirit, and your place within creation. Something essential in us remembers who we are.
A Space Beyond Dogma
Although this ceremony comes through the Stalking Wolf lineage of Native America, the Quest is not bound to any religion or belief system. It is a universal human rite. This week includes ceremony and ritual to support your soul work, but the Quest itself belongs to no tradition and welcomes people of all backgrounds.
The 8-Day Structure
The Nature Quest at Dundas is an 8-day immersion designed to support you before, during, and after your solo time:
Days 1–2: Arrival & Preparation
We guide you through the teachings, safety, practical preparation, and the inner readiness needed for your four days in the circle.
Days 3–6: The Solo Quest
Four days and nights alone with water only. No distractions. No obligations. No roles. Just you, the land, your soul, and the Great Mystery.
Days 7–8: Integration
Your Quest continues long after you leave the circle. These two days help you understand what came through, give language to the ineffable, and learn how to weave your insights into daily life.
No experience needed
You do not need bush skills, camping experience, or prior ceremony work. We will guide you through everything you need to know.
